In 1987 whilst still working as a special needs teacher I started training as a homeopath and began the magical journey of listening to and interpreting
the health stories of thousands of patients. I am still learning through a variety of teachers and I am teaching and supervising student homeopaths at the Contemporary College in Exeter and also at a teaching clinic in Clapham, London. I work with a local mental health charity and am interested in mental and emotional problems in adults and children. I am a trustee of the Homeopathy Action Trust, which supports research, patient access to homeopathy and provides bursaries for students. I have helped to publish their newsletter Picture of Health for the last nine years in which patients get to tell there own stories.

I have always worked with people, having been a
school teacher, registered child minder and a care
officer enabling people with learning disabilities. I
enjoy supporting people and understanding them. My aim is always to
help people achieve their potential, and as a homeopath I like to gently
help my patients understand the process that homeopathy can take
them through. It can be an enlightening journey. I live with my family
in Christow where I also practice from my home.

I have been in practise since 1993. Initially my
practice was relatively small, but has grown steadily
over time, and for the past eight or nine years it has
been busy and thriving. During my time as a homeopath I have treated
a great many people of all ages for a wide variety of health problems. In
addition to my initial training in homeopathy which lasted four years, I
have also completed a two year post graduate course in advanced
homeopathic studies. I am teaching and supervising students at the
School of Homeopathy in devon. It has been an ambition of mine to
open a clinic in Totnes devoted solely to homeopathy and I am pleased
to see it come to fruition.

Anne Hope BSc(Hons) RSHom
Mondays, Saturdays Mobile 07793 412817
I became involved in homeopathy after my daughter had a bad reaction to MMR vaccine, soon after she had encephalitis with chicken pox, followed by meningitis. She was never well after this, and visiting a homeopath proved a turning point in her health. With homeopathy, I find that patients can regain control and choice over their health treatments. I have a practical approach to homeopathy dealing directly with pains or problems, as well as proving underlying holistic treatment to improve the person's energy levels and constitution as a whole. I also co-run an Outreach Clinic at a Women's Refuge in London, where homeopathy has proved beneficial, helping women and children recover and deal with their situations. Before becoming a full time homeopath I worked as a college lecturer teaching psychology and counselling.
